Traditionally, newsprint was made from fibers derived from various softwood species (most commonly spruce, fir, balsam fir or pine). However, it is also made from recycled pulp. They have different uses in the Paper, Textile, Printing and Packaging industry. Falling in the 40 to 65 GSM grammage range, newsprint is cheap, durable and suitable for four-color printing.
Apart from printing purposes, newsprint can be used as filling material for boxes, tray liners, wrapping and packaging.
